Due to the large power consumption of ultrasonic and Doppler flow meters, the flow meter must be powered by 120V. Data from the flow meter is sent wirelessly via a gateway to the software.

Wireless Clamp-On Flow Meter Sensor Specifications

  • The Leap wireless transceiver node can be integrated with a wide range of clamp-on (external) flow meters with 4-20 mA or 0-10V outputs.
  • Due to the large power consumption of ultrasonic and Doppler flow meters, the flow meter must be powered by 120V. Data from the flow meter is sent over the air to a nearby gateway by the Leap transceiver node.
  • The Pulsar DFM 6.1 Doppler Flow Meter is recommended for difficult liquids, or liquids with suspended solids such as wastewater, slurries, sludge, chemicals, viscous liquids, and abrasives.
    • Flow rate: ±0.1 to 40 ft/sec (±0.03 to 12.2 m/sec)
      Pipe size: 1/2 to 180 in (12.7mm to 4.5m)
      Accuracy ±2%:
      Requires solids or bubbles of at least 100 microns
      75ppm concentration
      ±0.1%, Linearity ±0.5% of full scale repeatability
      Large, backlit LCD display

  • The Pulsar Greyline TTFM 6.1 is recommended for treated clean water, raw water, cooling water, chemicals, hydraulic oil, low-conductivity water, water/glycol solutions, and diesel and fuel oils.
    • SE16A: Recommended for 15 mm to 40 mm (0.5 in to 1.5 in), Possible for up to 150 mm (6 in)
      SE16B: Recommended for 50 mm to 250 mm (2 in to 10 in), Possible for up to 1,200 mm (48 in)
      SE16C: Recommended for 300 mm to 1,200 mm (12 in to 48 in), Possible for down to 100 mm (4 in)
